Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Bilingual Labor Law Investigator (English/Spanish) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Labor Law Investigator, you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing Pennsylvania's laws that protect workers' rights.  Within this role, you will receive and screen complaints, conduct various audits, facilitate conferences among employers and claimants, and prepare and maintain timely, detailed case narratives and reports of investigations.  We are looking for someone who possesses excellent communication skills as you will be interfacing with employees, employers, and supervisors, as well as providing expert witness testimony at administrative and court hearings as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position is home headquartered but requires travel. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and a bachelor's degree; or Two years of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and an associate's degree in a field related to investigative or construction and trades work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie,  Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland. You must be willing and able to travel to all of the following counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie,  Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland. You must possess the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
