Description

Sr. Accountant

A leading provider of healthcare equipment and services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract role. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and driving efficiency in financial reporting and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

  • Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting; experience with Brightree software and system conversions is a plus.

  • Process payroll and manage HR-related financial transactions using ADP Workforce Now.

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.

  • Provide financial guidance to teams and assist with budgeting and cost analysis.

  • Some local travel may be required as part of this role.

    Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance required; master’s degree in finance or CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting,

  • Experience in public accounting is a plus.

  • DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks; experience with Brightree software and system conversions is a plus.

  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR-related financial tasks.
