Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Monitors preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
• Emergency repairs
• Assist with design and plan installation of new equipment
• Provide safe work environment for all plant personnel

• Overtime, Weekend and Off shift work may be required

   

Skills 

• Preferred 2 to 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of what it means to work SAFELY at all times.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical problems.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
• Ability to create, wire and troubleshoot electrical control systems (Motor starts push button stations, valve controls, safety switches).
• Ability to design, install, and troubleshoot functional and safe systems from an operational concept.
• Ability to rebuild Pneumatic cylinders, Schraeder valves and Mac valves.
• Plumbing skills to include but not limited to steel tube, rubber hose, PVC, black pipe and conduit.
• General skills such as welding, proficiency with cutting torches, and general fabrication.
• Experience reading and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Automated systems including robotics, PLC and relay logic.
• Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot using hydraulic blueprints.
• Ability to size and design system for new equipment.
• Ability to design size and specific using conceptual design size type and placement.
