Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Monitors preventive maintenance on all plant equipment
- Emergency repairs
- Assist with design and plan installation of new equipment
- Provide safe work environment for all plant personnel
Overtime, Weekend and Off shift work may be required
Skills
- Preferred 2 to 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of what it means to work SAFELY at all times.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical problems.
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
- Ability to create, wire and troubleshoot electrical control systems (Motor starts push button stations, valve controls, safety switches).
- Ability to design, install, and troubleshoot functional and safe systems from an operational concept.
- Ability to rebuild Pneumatic cylinders, Schraeder valves and Mac valves.
- Plumbing skills to include but not limited to steel tube, rubber hose, PVC, black pipe and conduit.
- General skills such as welding, proficiency with cutting torches, and general fabrication.
- Experience reading and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Automated systems including robotics, PLC and relay logic.
- Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot using hydraulic blueprints.
- Ability to size and design system for new equipment.
- Ability to design size and specific using conceptual design size type and placement.
