HVAC Service Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
Installation: Set up new HVAC systems and equipment in homes.
Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure systems run efficiently.
Repairs: Diagnose and fix issues with HVAC systems, including emergency repairs.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with homeowners to explain issues, provide maintenance tips, and offer energy-saving advice.
Compliance: Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety standards.
Essential Skills
Electrical wiring and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in construction and installation.
Mechanical service and preventive maintenance expertise.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Technical knowledge of HVAC equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of an approved HVAC apprenticeship program.
Proven work experience as an HVAC technician (1-5 years).
EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
Additional certifications like NATE (North American Technician Excellence) are beneficial.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
A valid driver's license.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and sometimes in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work after hours, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
