Summary: We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift (3p-11p) Production Team in Hanover, PA.  The Production Set Up & Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple machines within the Sealing Rings Department to manufacture piston rings. Role Responsibilities include and are not limited to: Machine set up and operation Ability to understand verbal and written instructions Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches and process sheets Utilize gages and tooling within the department for set ups and operations Ability to make fixtures as needed Assist with experimental production and trial production parts for engineering Ability to use calipers and micrometers on a daily basis Confidence in working within tight tolerances per production routers Assist others in developing methods and procedures Set-up machines for General Operators My be required to wash rings and dip in protective coating Perform preventative maintenance function within work cell Follow all plant safety rules and procedures Follow all 5S and Lean manufacturing principles Communicate with department lead and supervisor on regular basis Use of a variety of instruments and tools such as face grinder, mills, manual lathe, internal grinder and outside diameter grinder, micrometer/caliper, etc. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Requires continuous attention to operations Attention to detail Manufacturing operator experience a plus Flexibility with work hours during training period Ability to stand for 8-hours per day, 5-days per week Ability to life 35-pounds (anything over 35-pounds will use lift assist or team lift) All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW) What You'll Love About SKF: Rest and Relaxation.  Enjoy a robust vacation policy and 14 paid holidays!
