Reference #: 5001076825500 Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Weekend Nightshift Production Lead Person to work from our 900 High Street manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA. This candidate will be responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in the execution of daily production. Exemplary leadership qualities and strong communication skills are essential in the role. This position will work Friday-Sunday 5:55PM-5:55AM. This in a non-exempt, full-time position reporting directly to the Weekend Production Supervisor. Responsibilities: Assists Production Supervisor in leading assigned Pod with all packaging, processing, and sanitation activities and acts as back up Supervisor in their absence. Existing knowledge of these areas is preferred. Monitors daily attendance, evaluates individual performance and trains packaging personnel to ensure standards are met. Assists with scheduling personnel in an efficient manner in order to meet daily production requirements. Must be forklift and high reach certified, or willing to do so. Maintains a constant line of communication with the Production Supervisor communicating downtime, production difficulties and product overflow. Ensures production of quality product by ensuring all processing and packaging standards are upheld. Integral to executing and monitoring tasks to maintain data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system. Supports the management material usage and waste on assigned lines to support cost initiatives. Maintains a working knowledge and utilizes RedZone, 6S Principles and Continuous Improvement. Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks. Identifies, organizes and leads projects as requested by upper management. Separates and removes questionable finished product to be reviewed by Production Supervisor. Supports and sustains Integrated Work Systems (IWS) in the plant to include maintaining and communicating line level KPIs and performance standards. Responsible for the safety performance of assigned team while supporting the culture of safety and health through active engagement with employees and the maintenance of a safe work environment. Follows and enforces all GMP, food safety practices, and all applicable requirements of the SQF system. Performs other duties as assigned that impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives. Requirements: Requires analytical, math and reading skills Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Requires leadership and management to direct the department and interface with other departments Knowledge of designated packaging and processing operations to assist when needed Must be forklift and high reach certified or willing to do so Moderate lifting and occasional skid pulling Fluent in Spanish desired but not required.
