Job Title: Design Engineer

70k-100k Salary Range

Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept through design and into manufacturing. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality outcomes for a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial concept through design and manufacturing.

• Design machinery and mechanical systems, not just components.

• Utilize SolidWorks for design tasks.

• Communicate effectively with various departments to execute proposed project plans.

• Manage design projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

• Travel locally to visit and support clients when necessary.

• Understand and integrate control systems into mechanical designs.

• Experience managing design projects (2-3 years preferred).

Work Environment

This position is based in Hanover, PA, with a family-owned, locally operated machinery manufacturer that has been in business for over 100 years. The company designs and assembles custom machines for clients in various industries, including railroad, mining, automotive, renewable energy, and aerospace. The work environment is collaborative, and you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects with a dedicated team.
