Reference #: 5001061636500 Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Corporate Analytical Technician I in Hanover, PA. The Corporate Analytical Technician I supports the Utz internal laboratory system, contract manufacturing network, and R&D team through various product analysis, lab equipment maintenance, data collection, special projects and reports. Responsibilities Performing analytical testing of samples to support new equipment qualification, new product development, commercialization, innovation, specification verification/validation, proficiency testing, third party comparative testing, onboarding of new facilities, continuous improvement projects and other analytics as assigned. Daily calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Assisting and coordinating with lab equipment OEMs and vendors on equipment capabilities, methodologies, process settings and more extensive troubleshooting techniques. Assisting with lab equipment training and troubleshooting for network labs. Actively participating in project discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Precision analytical testing with high-level of attention to detail . Identifying and troubleshooting testing discrepancies and analytical equipment drift. Leading sample procurement initiatives and minor analytical projects as assigned. Coordinating shipping of all samples and lab equipment. Maintaining inventory of lab PPE, chemicals, chemical waste and network lab equipment. Detailed record keeping of project status, analytical data and reports. Supporting the development of GLPs, laboratory SOPs, and equipment trouble-shooting guides. Escalates food safety and quality issues to Utz leadership as needed. Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives. Requirements 6 years' experience working in a laboratory environment, QA food manufacturing or R&D Understanding of laboratory testing methods for snack foods including analytical and sensory evaluation Associated or bachelor's in science related field (mathematics, statistics, chemistry or biology) Strong mathematical and statics skills with the ability to analyze data and draw valid conclusions Able to comprehend and retain technical written instruction and product specific knowledge Ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace; demonstrated history of attention to detail and ability to execute work independently At least 3 years' experience working in cross functional teams. Intermediate experience with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Minitab Able to balance priorities and manage multiple projects on an on-going basis Able to effectively listen, communicate, and interface across several organizational levels Able to maximize teamwork philosophies and achievements Continuously Pursuing Excellence!
