Job Summary:

Canteen is seeking a Retail Manager of Food & Vending to provide support to an assigned branch for program projects and client initiatives. Those who excel in leading multiple accounts and tasks will thrive in this position. You will work closely with the Retail team and Operations to facilitate workflow and assist with execution of projects and new client programs to ensure successful and timely implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient uses of resources

  • Ensure action plans are developed and implemented to improve SSS/control V-9 (food waste, o/s, etc.)

  • Ensure we are aligned with local and national account standards; review corporate compliance reporting

  • Coordinate efforts to improve the customer retention and client experience at the point of sale

  • Drive compliance to merchandising standards

  • Responsible for site visits and client retention

  • Develop an account level incremental sales plan with local management; track performance and increase profitability (Owners Business Plan)

  • Handle projects such as new store openings, new client rollouts, client merchandising plans

  • Assess performance by location through audit reports (Quarterly District Evaluations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Route Management, retail and merchandising experience preferred

  • Supervisory, leadership, management, and mentor skills

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customer and associate levels

  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices

  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet

  • Flexible/Adapts well to change

  • Collaborative - works well as a member of a team

  • Customer service focus: Value customers. Meet or exceed their requirements and be consistent with business priorities

  • Detailed

  • B.S. or equivalent experience Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus three years of directly related experience preferred.
