The Digital Payload Systems Engineer is responsible for the architecture design, analysis, implementation, optimization and enhancement of end-to-end communication digital payload systems and sub-systems. The tasks will include:

• Design of Communication Satellite digital Payloads (with transparent or regenerative processors).

• Liaise discussions with our customers and Program Management

• Lead technical projects and end-to-end telecommunications systems engineering activities

• Lead System requirements definition flowdown and subsystem specifications for RF, Digital and optical payload units

• Lead/perform requirement analysis, budgets and system trade studies.

• Lead link and performance budget calculations and evaluate satellite throughput.

• Supervise & generate Test Plans, Test methods for Satellite Systems Integration, Verification and Validation

• Lead Design Reviews over the full Space Programs Life Cycle

Qualifications: Required

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Physics or equivalent or other relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• This position requires a minimum of 15+ years of experience in digital communication equipment, signal processing and Networking (MPLS routing protocols & Class of Service, DVB RC/S), knowledge of 5G NTN, RF and system payload design.

• Familiar with Phased Array Antenna, Beam forming (analog or Digital), Beam hoping.

• Knowledge of simulation tools (Matlab & Simulink, UML, Pathwave, etc.), operating systems (Linux, etc…)

• Knowledge of software development with Agile method

• Knowledge of the Architectures and operation of SDR (Software Defined Radio)

• Previous design and test experience with LEO/MEO satellites and payload sub-systems
