Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will follow technical instructions for wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire. You will maintain an inventory of various parts and tools used in the assembling process, adhere to company procedures, directives, and safety guidelines, and keep a clean and well-maintained workspace. Additionally, you will be responsible for assembling electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors to create functional harnesses used in various electronic systems.

• Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality, ensuring proper connections, secure crimps, and adherence to safety standards.

• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers, quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures.

• Work closely with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a smooth workflow.

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly, electrical work, and wiring.

• Experience with wire processing, cutting, soldering, and crimping/stripping wire.

• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, or schematics.

• Skilled in crimping, soldering, wire stripping, wiring harnesses, and panel building.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous avionics or military experience.

• Previous residential electrical experience.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled and very clean. The work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. There is flexibility to start and end your workday earlier or later, as long as you complete 8 hours of work. You will be part of a small team consisting of 10 assembly technicians, 1 manager, and 1 supervisor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
