Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support a federal client in Hampton, VA. The Sr. Network Engineer will support a program that's mission is to connect radar and radio sites across the country to primary battle control centers and connect FAA assets to control and communicate with the airspace. The Sr. Network Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

* Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks

* Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability

* Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed

* Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks

* Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks

* Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network

* Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

* May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

Skills and Requirements

* Sec+ Certification

* CCNA

* Secret clearance

* Layer 3 routing experience

* experience with engineering design

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

o BA/BS or equivalent

o 5+ years of experience * Additional CUCM - cisco unified call manager

* TECH Control - they use long haul circuit actions - 3cr in air force would be a plus

* FAA and/or Radio (PRC-117) experience viewed favorably null
