Job Title: Crane CDL Operator

Job Description

Pre-inspect truck, load materials, and verify accuracy of load. Set up job parameters and inspect site to ensure a safe environment to unload. Unload truck at site – involves setting up barriers, occasional lifting of heavy shingles, and use of truck mounted crane. Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE. Maintain regular communication with dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of the product. Report any potential hazards to branch management.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Valid Class A/B CDL license in good standing with 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.

• NCCCO and Crane Institute Certification.

• Experience operating a knuckle boom crane truck or similar equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of crane operations, rigging techniques, and relevant safety regulations.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience driving a manual transmission truck and operating heavy equipment for unloading.

• Ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors and traveling throughout Hampton Roads. You will be exposed to various weather conditions while performing your duties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
