Maintenance Technician

Essential Job Functions

• Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment.

• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

• Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

• Develops sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures.

• Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.

• Performs line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs.

• Notifies Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment problems. As well as analyzing and resolving equipment problems or assisting others in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Requires a one-year certificate from a technical school.

• 2 years’ experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Farming equipment and auto mechanic experience preferred but not required.
