Linnaeus Neurology Specialist in Hammersmith, United Kingdom

London Vet Specialists has started a new chapter with a major expansion and relocation to a new state-of-the-art site in Hammersmith, West London. It’s a very exciting time to join us as we start to develop and grow our boutique London multidisciplinary referral hospital. The hospital boasts an incredible location within a stone’s throw from the river Thames and nestled within the bustling and thriving Hammersmith & Fulham neighbourhood. The site is easily accessible by public transport from all areas of London and is also extremely well located for international travel links by air and train.

We are looking for a neurology specialist to join our developing team.

We currently have specialists in multiple disciplines including soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging and orthopaedic surgery.

As part of the relocation, we have invested significantly in equipment and the new centre will have a brand new 1.5T Philips BlueSeal MRI scanner (this is a low-helium system so also fits our pledge to sustainability and the planet), Siemens 64-slice CT scanner, Samsung RS-85 ultrasound, C-arm fluoroscopy, digital radiography and Karl Storz new endoscopy and bronchoscopy systems to name just a few.

Your role and responsibilities:

London Vet Specialists (LVS) are currently recruiting for an additional board certified neurology specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team. As part of a truly multidisciplinary team you will work alongside two ECVN diplomates and a growing support team.

You will be committed to help develop the hospital and providing high standards of care to both our patients and referring veterinary surgeons. You must be able to work as a team as well as independently supporting our clients, patients and clinical teams in our busy and developing practice.

Key roles include:

  • Providing high quality patient care and contributing to the future strategic growth of the service

  • Provide clinical services as a neurologist

  • Work collaboratively with all other services and foster good relationships

  • Undertake supervision of our discipline specific and rotating interns

  • Demonstrate professional standards that will advance patient care

You must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (or eligible to become a member)

  • Successful completion of a recognised ECVN (Neurology) or ACVIM (Neurology) residency programme

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Strong communication skills and professional approach

  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK
