Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes and industrial machinery. The role involves the repair and maintenance of gears, conveyors, and bearings, as well as basic electrical maintenance, such as working on control switches. The position requires working at heights and ensuring the optimal functionality of heavy equipment and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes and industrial machinery.

• Repair and maintain gears, conveyors, and bearings.

• Conduct basic electrical maintenance, including control switches.

• Work at heights safely and efficiently.

• Read and interpret blueprints for maintenance tasks.

• Apply expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.

• Ensure all heavy equipment and cranes are in optimal working condition.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with heavy equipment and cranes.

• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.

• 433A license.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication experience.

• Experience as an electrical or heavy equipment mechanic.

Work Environment

Our company is a manufacturer of precast concrete, operating two facilities located beside each other. With approximately 100 employees combined, our plants center around overhead cranes used for lifting and moving concrete and equipment. The Industrial Mechanic will primarily focus on these cranes, performing preventative maintenance and other industrial maintenance tasks. The work environment can be dirty with wet areas due to the nature of concrete, and tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. The maintenance team consists of about six members. The shift is from 5 AM to 2:30 PM, with on-call availability in the afternoon for emergencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $95680.00
