Carmen's Group Banquet Sous Chef - C Hotel in Hamilton, Ontario

We are seeking a confident, passionate, and creative individual to drive the culinary experience! As a member of our team of champions, you will gain meaningful work experience in a welcoming and exciting environment where we lead by example and work together to achieve results.
Job Types: permanent, part-time
Wages: $22-24 per hour
YOU WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Learn from our Director of Food & Beverage and Banquet Chef
Prepare and execute banquet service for weddings, socials, corporate and even celebrity events
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen; instilling safe food handling practices
Participate in the production and plating of all food service areas
Take proactive efforts to minimize waste and maximize quality
Maintain product consistency of seasonings, portion, and appearance of food
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge in Food Safety Standards and Guidelines, including safe food handling practices and certificate
2-3 years' culinary experience
Experience in the catering or event industry preferred
Experience in a fine dining atmosphere preferred
Humble, uplifting, and supportive leadership style
Positive, outgoing, and friendly team member
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
