What you will do:

As the Associate Manager, Distribution, you will lead and support the Distribution Team by effectively organizing resources, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that performance metrics are consistently met. Your role will involve recruiting and nurturing talent, and working closely with the Manager, Distribution to adapt the team to evolving business needs. You will be instrumental in driving the team’s growth, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring adherence to established processes and policies. Additionally, you will identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities, fostering a culture of engagement and professional development within the team

  • Facilitate the development of a high-performing team by coaching and leading direct reports, providing development and growth opportunities, organizing resources, providing priority management ensuring performance metrics are met

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and support/manage the smooth delivery of strategic initiatives, other projects, and day-to-day execution. Ensure that key stakeholders are engaged in business improvement activities, including implementation and adoption

  • Build and maintain exceptional employee engagement throughout the department. Conduct employee engagement sessions annually, and create and execute action plans based on these sessions

  • Responsible for departmental compliance with company policies, regional regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices and corrective actions

  • Involvement in strategic decision-making. Support/manage the smooth delivery of strategic initiatives, other projects, and day-to-day execution.

  • Ensure that key stakeholders are engaged in business improvement activities, including implementation and adoption.

  • Responsible for team structure and strategically allocating resources while providing priority Develops and aligns technologies and workflow strategies to address customer needs and key business plans

  • Strong awareness of Stryker Canada’s quality management system and regulatory requirements for the importation and distribution of drugs and natural health products

  • Lead the development and coordination of continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with Stryker’s quality management system and Good Manufacturing Practices

What you need:

  • Post-secondary education required, preferred within Supply Chain/Operations

  • 6 years of experience in Operations/Supply Chain, of which 1 year of people leadership experience in a professional business environment -required

  • Experience managing a large manufacturing/distribution facility “preferred”

  • Strong Analytical skills and experience with Oracle “preferred”

  • Excellent analytical skills: Must be able to analyze and resolve complex issues of a broad scope using independent judgment

  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures

  • Demonstrates ability to manage and support change in a dynamic environment

  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
