Carnival Cruise Line Manager Environmental Analysis and Operations (f/m/d) in Hamburg, Germany

Your Responsibilities

Join our team as the Manager of Environmental Analysis and Operations, where you'll lead the development of waste disposal plans and onboard waste management initiatives for our fleet. Collaborate with vessel crews and shore-side departments to optimize environmental efficiency, manage costs, and achieve significant savings through strategic measures and financial forecasting.

  • Responsible for developing and optimizing waste disposal plans and implementing onboard waste management initiatives to increase efficiencies for all our vessels

  • Close coordination and communication with Costa and Aida vessels (e.g., Staff Captain/Recycling Officer) and relevant shore side departments

  • Develop the environmental port cost plan and forecast for the Costa and AIDA fleet by cooperating closely with the financial departments

  • Identify saving potential and initiate the necessary measures for its achievement, including, but not limited to, identification and application for all relevant environmental discounts and exemptions

  • Actively manage and monitor environmental port costs and lead the monthly variance analysis

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Engineering / Business Administration or equivalent. Master’s degree is a plus

  • Specialization on environmental management systems and several years of environmental management experience preferably within the Maritime Industry

  • Having a previous professional experience in finance and controlling or any related field. Experience in developing financial reports and presentation is mandatory

  • Experience in ship operation/ management or cruise ship technology would be of advantage

  • Very good English language skills! Italian and/or German would be an add on

  • Deep knowledge of Office 365 system (Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory. Knowledge of Hyperion, QlikView and Power BI are desirable)

  • Previous Experience in use of MXP is a plus

  • Service oriented with very good communication skills

  • Having at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role
