Green Mountain has exclusively partnered with CBRE to staff our new data center site in Hamar. We need numerous positions within Operations to support what will become Norway’s largest data center. YOUR CHALLENGES & TASKS
The main purpose of this role as "Data Center Manager / Critical Facility Manager - Data Center" is to manage our site and its critical environment technically and to ensure 24/7 Operations as well as a proper delivery of our contracted technical services to the client on the agreed site in terms of quality, health & safety and finance.
Your key responsibilities in detail:
Provide leadership, and that contractual commitments are met and exceeded
Manage all mechanical and electrical maintenance & services activities on the contracted site incl. managing the cross-functional team
Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are explored, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tender
Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is
effectively implemented across both our teams’ services and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly review
Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning
arrangements are in place
Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met
Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts
Provision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/reward
Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate
Your Supervisory Responsibilities in detail:
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area
Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime
Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values
YOUR PROFILE
Proven track record in a management role which has included responsibility for service, culture, people and business growth
Previous experience in operational environments and one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical, facilities management, projects, building services
Stout experience in dealing with a range of people from junior to senior level including site employees, suppliers and customers
Enthused by a fast paced, high growth environment with the affinity to work in a matrix organisation
Results focused with the drive to grow the business
Relevant electrical qualification (Electronics Technician, Electrical Engineer, HVAC (m/f/d) or equivalent
Good understanding of electrical maintenance necessary
Commercial awareness / Business acumen should be self-explanatory
Ability to understand commercial and financial metrics is necessary incl. good organization skills and an "eye" for details
Experience in internal and external client management
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

High degree of integrity and sincerity
Excellent presentation skills - written, verbal and presentation
Business fluency in both Norwegian and English
