Shipping/Receiving Clerk - R5274
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures 2. Verify stock against original purchase order by checking stock specifications (type, quantity, weight, etc.) 3. Receive raw material and cases into ERP and assign material number, location number 4. Move material to assigned locations 5. Follow FIFO when pulling raw material and or finished goods 6. Band and wrap open raw material 7. Receive outside service orders and miscellaneous items 8. Load/unload trucks using Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) equipment 9. Maintain dock area to ensure that it is safe and clean at all times 10. Rearrange all raw material areas for space when needed 11. Provide backup to Shipping Lead when needed 12. Perform pre-shift (PIT) inspections and keep equipment clean 13. Perform physical inventories and regular cycle counts as needed or directed by Warehouse Group Leader 14. Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned work area 15. Have knowledge of Warehouse Inventory System and future bar-coding system 16. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements 17. Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives 18. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
