Summary

The Consumer BI team primes all business intelligence and database marketing activities for the Bell Residential Services organization. Consumer BI is supported by close to 125 experienced professionals in their area of expertise and regroups four functional areas: Campaign database management, Infrastructure, targeted marketing campaign development and Reporting.

Consumer BI works in partnership with the marketing and marketing communication teams to provide insight into our customer base and build impactful marketing campaigns by providing the required targeted customer data/lists or reporting for the various marketing tactics. The Consumer BI team is looking for a Business Analyst to support marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

The Oracle DBA will be responsible of the campaign database environment and will work very closely with campaign data team and project team to deliver new solution as well as to improve current processes.

  • Installing, configuring and updating the Oracle database software.

  • Managing and maintaining database instance, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Implementing backup and recovery strategy to minimize data loss and downtime.

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting database performance issues.

  • Collaborating with developers and system administrators to optimize the overall environment.

  • Performing regular database maintenance activities.

  • Documenting database configurations and procedures.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users.

Critical Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in a Oracle DBA role;

  • Solid experience with Oracle; tools and products;

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with people with various skills (technical and non technical)

  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver expected solution;

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to dispute the status quo and propose new solutions

  • Ability to work on his/her own, with a minimum of supervision within a dynamic environment;

  • Experience working with telecom data;

  • Bilingual (English and French) is required for the role.
