We are a team of fifteen Logistics Specialists, Engineers, and Project Managers focused on creating, optimizing the full flow of parts through the end-to-end supply chain, and supporting the processes of transporting material throughout the facility in an efficient manner and with a Continuous Improvement mindset. Job Description:

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in Hagerstown’s Perform to Transform journey by driving logistics excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing and supply chain operations. You will lead master plan projects that optimize material flow, enhance efficiency, and integrate automation solutions, ensuring our logistics infrastructure is future-ready.

By spearheading new product implementations, you will ensure seamless supply chain readiness for product launches while minimizing disruptions to production. Through lean logistics strategies and data-driven decision-making, you will enhance performance, reduce waste, and improve cost efficiency.

Additionally, you will foster cross-functional collaboration, aligning logistics with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to create a high-performance, agile operation.

As a key driver of change, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives, empower teams to adopt best practices, and support the evolution of our logistics operations into a world-class, future-focused system.

Who are you?

You are a strategic and results-driven Logistics Project Manager with a passion for optimizing supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. With a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and project execution, you thrive in leading complex initiatives that drive efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement.

You excel in change management, ensuring smooth transitions as new processes, technologies, and workflows are introduced. You understand the challenges of implementing change in a manufacturing setting and have the ability to engage stakeholders, gain buy-in, and drive adoption of new logistics strategies. Your leadership ensures that teams are prepared, aligned, and equipped for success as operations evolve.

You have a data-driven mindset and use analytics to solve problems, streamline material flow, and enhance logistics performance. You collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, IT, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business goals.

A natural leader, you have a proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive transformation, and influence stakeholders at all levels. You recognize the importance of positive working relationships and excellent communication skills to reach the success level needed, believing that collaboration is the best way forward. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive on finding innovative solutions that future-proof logistics operations. You are strategic in how you use a combination of both your technical skills and your people skills to accomplish your goals.

Required knowledge/experience

  • A BSc or MSc in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Engineering related field and 5 years’ experience

  • Or 7+ years of relative project management experience required preferably in logistics in an industrial or manufacturing environment in automotive or related industry

  • Valid work permit for the applied country if not a citizen

  • Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies (PMP, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall)

  • Strong ability to create and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets

  • Knowledge of how to drive change management processes and principles

  • You have a passion for developing people, operations and products and are a communicative team player that values the full diversity of the team.

  • Ability and flexible to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferred knowledge/experience

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)

  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)

  • Certified Change Management Practitioner

  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Power BI

  • Proficient in logistics software and tools for data analysis and inventory management

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $83,470 - $103.110 and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
