Primary Focus

The Systems Analyst 2 will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable programs for HHS. The Systems Analyst 2 should be skilled in monitoring, metrics, and tooling to support infrastructure needs, sharing knowledge, and contributing to team efficiency. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the migration efforts of the integrated resident information system, HHSC IRIS, which includes Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker and RLDatix Risk Module to a new SaaS solution. This includes comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. The Systems Analyst II will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows that integrate with the existing system, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality of the new system. The Worker will document all phases of the migration process, engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering, and ensure clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. (40%).

  • Ensures that design complies with HHSC standards. This task also involves setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration. (10%)

  • Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution. (25%)

  • Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts. Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution. Prepare and deliver presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges (15%)

  • Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration. This includes training end-users, preparing comprehensive system documentation, and recommending strategies for optimizing system performance based on feedback and performance metrics. (10%)

Qualifications

Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years Database management systems and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems, particularly those involving complex integrations like Cerner Millennium.

  • 7 years’ Experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting, crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms.

  • 7 years Business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.

  • 7 years’ Experience in documenting business process flows and standardize existing and future process flow improvements by conducting data collection and meetings with the subject matter experts to gain full understanding of system usability and documenting the w

  • 7 years Preparing specifications for data input/output processes.

  • 7 years Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.

  • 7 years In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.

  • 7 years Architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure

  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years Prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.

  • 2 years Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates

  • 2 years Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components

  • 2 years Experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.

Minimum Skills:

  • 7 years Exceptional oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear project documentation and engaging effectively with stakeholders

  • 7 years Strong interpersonal abilities to support diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration among team members.

  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range

USD $93,698.27 - USD $133,854.67 /Yr.
