What you’ll do:

We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in Product Life cycle management, Life Cycle Assessment and Continuous improvement for LV and MV switchgear products like MCC, BC, PCC, Panel Boards, RMUs, Secondary Switchgear etc. Success in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques, Tools, Processes

Candidate should be able to demonstrate following Responsibilities

• Lead Product Life Sustenance portfolio for MV and LV products with focus on quality and on time delivery for assigned deliverables.

• Drive portfolio ownership through improved levels of responsibility on deliverables

• Coordinate with Global/Local stakeholders and Drive execution

• Lead sustaining engineering projects as Engineering lead which would involve design development, validation, certification and Industrialization in compliance with certification and design standards

• LCA lead for ESS group who would be responsible to drive all LCA request with in group, lead the circularity initiative for MV products which would involve project proposals, project execution and cross functional collaboration to achieve our sustainability goals

• Drive Continues improvement projects for team through self and others to meet business targets on cycle time reduction / process optimization / resource engagement

• Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through Change Management process

• 3D modelling & drafting along with design activities including conceptual design, Design Optimization, Product Cost analysis, Prototype Building and Validation through Testing of LV/MV electrical switchgear products for IEC market

• Mentoring/Reviewing peers/juniors on projects/tasks/DMAIC certifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Mechanical

8 - 10 years

• Minimum 6 years experience designing MV/LV switchgear products

• Working with cross functional teams within and outside organization to drive design objectives in sustaining products

• Experienced all stages of the prodcut development cycle

• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems/issues and make design recommendations

• Proficient in CAD and PLM softwares

• Worked on LCA projects (3D modelling, BOM creation, Analysis for - material, weights, supplier, manufacturing process definition, packaging and shiping, use phase estimations, CO2 footprint estimations etc.)

cess de• Worked on CI projects and has leveraged DMAIC tools and processes

• Knowledge of Electromechanical Systems

• Understanding on test object requrements, testing standards, assembly process

• Understanding on Agile ProLaunch processes

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of sheet metal & copper design, manufacturing and assembly

• Sound technical knowledge in Electromechanical products like MCC, BC, PCC, Panel Boards, RMUs and other Secondary Switchgear.

• Experience in PLM software like Enovia/SAP/Modelmanager

• Experience in 3D modelling, detailing and drafting experience on Inventor/ProE

• Knowledge on Bill of material structures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and working knowledge of Project Management methodology

• Basic Understanding of IEC standards for LV/MV switchgear products

Skills:

'- PLS Lead

• Resolve issues raised in system on CAPA which involves evaluation of issues, solution generation , approval for solution, 3D design/drawing updates and change note management / new part creation.

• Review work / Mentor / Guide resources working on PLS tasks

• Identify and drive opportunities for improve LoR

• Lead Sustaining projects as Engineering lead with responsibility on design development, validation, certification and Industrialization in compliance with certification and design standards

• Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.

• LCA SPOC for ESS

• Lead LCA for ESS products which involves lead on engineering deliverables, cross functional team collaboration, project management and database creation

• Drive teardowns, competitor benchmarking, Solution Blitz events, CO2 footprint evaluations to generate ideas/project proposals for Greener products

• Project execution and cross-functional collaboration for meeting our sustainability goals.

• CI Lead

• Drive automation within team through the different phases from idea generation to implementation by organizing brain-storming sessions, Tracking progress on timely basis, providing support where needed through self and others to achieve set deliverables

• Lead/Execute/Propose key process improvement / automation projects which have strong potential to be part of the Global CI Competition deck

• Mentoring team members on DMAIC certification and CI projects

Additional Responsibilities

• Demonstrated capability in design of MV/LV switchgear like MCC, BC, PCC, Panel Boards, RMUs, Secondary Switchgear

• Completes system / component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet design and certification requirements

• Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations

• Uses Creo to create component detail models and modifies models of existing products to meet new customer requirements. Supervises detail design in completion of detail drawings and packages

• Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required

• Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams

• Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications

• May provide formal and informal updates to Engineering Manager and Program Manager. Participates in the preparation for design review material.
