What you’ll do:

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – Industrial sector Aerospace FMC division has Senior Designer open position. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for supporting design engineering deliverables of NPI, NTI and SE. The role is responsible in deployment leverage the proven tools and processes of Eaton business systems (EBS) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS); in order to drive engineering excellence to improve competitiveness.

Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Designer- FMC Division in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform design assignments of moderate complexity from sketches, layouts, and assemblies prepared by higher skilled technical staff..

• Perform detailed design engineering using CAD platforms such as Solidworks, Creo 7.0, AutoCAD etc.

• Perform assignments of specific engineering tasks, e.g. a Create 2D Drawing, create 3D models, prepare Specification

• Modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.

• Perform GD&T & Tolerance stake up analysis for FMC product designs.

• Interact with global cross functional teams.""

""The candidate in this position will be responsible to:

• Creation of 3D models and 2D detailed drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.

• Person in this position must have working knowledge of CAD tools such as Pro/E Creo, Solid works, CATIA and AutoCAD, assembly, detailing to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.

• Utilize the PLM (Enovia) system for documentation control and workflow.

• Person should have good understanding of design guidelines standards such as ASME Y14/ANSI Y14.

• Person should be good at drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.

• Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models

• Sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the associated business group

• Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal / external customers and resolves technical challenges

• Maintain credible communication practice with stakeholders on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures

• Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments

• Be an active professional in continuous learning resulting enhancement in organizational objectives

• Performs quality self-checks to ensure design meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements

• Ensure right quality and on time delivery of drawings & engineering documents.

Qualifications:

Diploma in mechanical engineering in 2023/2024

0-1 years of work experience

Skills:

Knowledge in mechanical design, GD&T, 3D modelling, Tolerance stackup, documentation, DFM, DFMEA DVP
