Eaton Corporation Engineering Leader-Operational Excellence in Hadapsar, India

Eaton India Innovation Center is looking for an Engineering Leader-Operational Excellence to join our R&D team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.

The Key Responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Steer Continuous Improvement, LEAN practices and culture across the organization in enterprise level.

  • Drive DFSS and culture for NPI projects in the organization.

  • Lead System & SW Process Quality Assurance in enterprise level in different domains; Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical Sectors etc.

  • Lead Component Engineering team on Part Integrity, Electronics support on NPIs and Sustenance activities, Enovia Migration, Data Analytics and Power BI supports for EIIC and Global Locations

  • Show visible leadership and set example by personal action in developing strong learning culture in the team.

  • Strategy & execution leadership for enhancing collaboration & synergy across various engineering teams.

  • Develop a high performing, innovative, empowered and accountable culture across the organization.

  • Build organizational capability and capacity of the team to execute strategy for the operational excellence team within functional excellence group.

  • Meet the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects under his/her control. by managing the shared pool of engineering resources.

  • Provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop the next level organizational and leaders.

  • Select, hire and retain employees in the department.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, technical community, academia.

  • Continuous advancement of the capability.

  • Drive digitalization and automation mind-set in product and application development and related engineering processes.

  • Leadership and Management of Operational Excellence team with in EIIC

  • Drive improvement in product/ application realization and lifecycle management related processes.

  • Process improvement, automation and deployment across the enterprise using lean and continuous improvement philosophy.

  • Management and maintenance of engineering information and knowledge management systems

Qualifications for the role :

  • Bachelor’s/ Master's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ SW Engineering. Strong understanding of organizational processes

  • Over 20 years of working experience, Minimum 6 years of experience in coaching & mentoring people.

  • Prefer DFSS/ DMAIC certified Black Belt from reputed organization.

  • ASQ-CSSBB/CQM/CQE certification is added advantage.

  • Experience in SW standards DO-178, ASPICE, CMMI etc. & PLM.

  • Process Management: Good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done, knows how to organize people and activities, knows what to measure and how to measure it, Can simplify complex processes, Gets more out of fewer resources.

  • Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, probes all fruitful sources for answers, can see hidden problems, Is excellent at honest analysis Looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers.

  • Decision Quality: Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.

  • Drive for Results: Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully.

  • Interpersonal Savvy: Relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport.
