Understand customer requirements for switchboard bus layout and prepare the 3D models in to Autodesk inventor, release drawings on Enovia.
Act as Mechanical Tech for assigned work & ECR/ECO to Pune team & closely work with Sumter, US engineering team.
Coordination with Sumter Mechanical Technician engineering team to define the Busbar layout & design changes.
Control engineering documentation and models using engineering change orders within a product data management system including CAD data vault
Work closely with engineers, through order reviews and process improvements, to ensure accurate interpretation of customer supplied order information.
Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems.
Manage and deliver assigned tasks as per schedule.
Act as the technical point of contact for the customer and maintain or improve customer relations.
Driving continuous improvement to meet project KPIs, and ensure stakeholder & customer satisfaction
Hands on Mechanical design experience of LV electrical distribution equipment like Switchboard & Panelboards, MCC/PCC Panels.
Hands on experience in calculations and selections of Busbar sizing, Enclosure selection & Mechanical mounting assemblies.
Develops a variety of complex Busbar assembly models & drawings and BOM based upon established product designs for switchboard product line.
Identify and design any special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3-D CAD modeling systems (Auto-Desk Inventor, etc.), ensuring that MI’s are completed and the material is routed accordingly to the appropriate assembly team.
Responsible for releasing ECR/ECO as on required basis for Sumter Mechanical team.
Create or edit bills of material to ensure correct material demand requirements for purchased and self-manufactured components.
Load electronic copies of all required manufacturing information into ENOVIA via Plant Order Manager to allow for retrieval by both internal and external customers.
Follow Mechanical design technical standards of Switchboard product line & Follow drawings nomenclature.
Possesses strong skills and proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and other Eaton specific Engineering/Business software applications like Enovia, Bidman, AS400 & Design automation.
Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience working with cross functional teams within and outside organization to drive design objectives in sustaining products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
3-4 yrs. Electrical panel designs
Skills:
Knowledge of IEC/UL standards, 3D modelling, PLM, ERP system
Project management, working in Virtual enviroment, Good communication
