Mars, Incorporated Global Communication Projects & Reporting Manager in Hackettstown, New Jersey

Job Description:

The role is based within the R&D function within the Corporate Center, supporting the Science Communication and R&D Communications Co-pilots driving Discovery and Commercialization communications to translate and decode technical information into formats, reports and infographics accessible for diverse audiences. You will play a PMO role for the science communication Initiatives, making sure governance Is being followed- help to raise awareness of the critical issues impacting the global food supply chain related knowledge and insights from the Food Safety platform, manage internal communication programs, MVP, MAP and related signature Associate programs AND be the expert in translating into KPI's and mapping proof points to support Mars R&D/Science and Innovation narrative and storytelling.

What are we looking for?
Relevant experience in translating technical Information Into a compelling storytelling.
Have been In previous roles as Corporate Communications Manager, Strategic communications, sustainability communication and reporting. May have manage cross team groups, committees and communities of practices, knowledge sharing forums.
May have done PMO role or strategic initiatives in previous roles.


What will be your key responsibilities?

Mars CS&T Comms PMO - 45% of time
Leads communication governance for science discovery and commercialization TRL's.
PMO's comms plans for key strategic workstream and initiatives across CS&T reputational needs.
Supports Comms Co-pilots Communications Directors for Food and Health and Healthy Planet areas in keeping technical rigor and translation for communication pieces.
Manages CS&T Communications KPI's and plan progress.
Works with Food Safety platform team/GFSC to ensure connection and collaboration with CS&T wider team.
Supports Communication and Engagement Manager at GFSC on decoding materials and translations for wider audiences.


Corporate R&D Support and Reporting- 25% of time
Manage the delivery of the quarterly R&D reports (Quarterly Technology, Highlights & Spotlight) working with content providers to ensure all segments and functional areas are represented.
Supports R&D Comms Director and CA Central on the GRI Sustainability report- Science section.
Support Content, Media and Events Sr Manager on R&D's global recognition program the Mars R&D Awards.

Mars Corporate R&D Internal Comms - 20% of time
Manage delivery of the Mars R&D Broadcast, connecting the R&D Leadership Team with all R&D Associates at Mars.
Works with the Global CA Science, Technology and Innovation Director and the R&D LT PMO to with the Mars R&D Leadership Team to ensure it delivers on their expectations and needs and drives key global R&D strategic initiatives In Associate connections.
Work with senior leaders to ensure they show and senior leadership amplifying global R&D strategy.
Is the designated Associate to represent R&D at the Internal Communications Council - connect with Corporate Affairs internal communications leads from the Mars segments to ensure representation of R&D across internal communications channels.
R&D Talent Proposition - act as the internal communications consultant for the program.
Manage the delivery of Corporate R&D town halls working with senior leaders from R&D, MARI and Innovation to create a Corporate R&D culture, maximize connections and awareness of key strategic initiatives.
Work closely with Corporate R&D leaders to support strategic communications including key message development and presentations.
Lead the development and cascade of Corporate R&D Organizational Announcements ensuring that key process.
