About the team

The Finance Technology Tax team builds technology to support Amazon’s global tax teams (our customers). Our customers need to ensure that Amazon is compliant with the increasingly complex tax regulations. We build systems to enable our customers to perform tax functions including, calculations, payments, filing, tax audits, and recovery at the scale demanded by Amazon’s business operations. We prioritize solutions based on our ability to deliver exponential value in the following four dimensions: 1) supporting business growth while reducing cost to serve 2) ensuring compliance and reducing risk 3) improving customer experience, and 4) providing accurate, complete, and timely data.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of team management experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience in product management, ranging from 7 to 10 years or more.

• Track record of leading and managing technical products or solutions, preferably in the tax domain.

• Ability to gather and analyze product requirements from various stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify technical solutions.

• Proficiency in product roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution.

• Leadership and Management Skills:

• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to align technical and business objectives.
