As a leader within the Data Services Operations team you will play a major part in ensuring operational control across the unit. Pushing for the best customer service and driving our teams to develop themselves to be the best Managed Service provider.
Roles and Responsibilities
Operates technically from a 2nd LineData Services perspective what actions are required to maintain the integrity of the live environment to prevent loss of availability to mission critical business and Government services and minimise the consequential impact i.e. brand damage for BT Group
Direct Leadership on 2nd Linenetworking support across all technologies within Data Services
Contributes to key operational and financial performance as well as exceptional customer experience.
Responsible for ensuring the team activities and processes are running effectively with a minimum of wastage. Responsible for the creation of and maintenance of the Teams processes and working instructions ensuring the team have clear line of sight on their personal and team goals and/or objectives.
Responsible for ensuring the team’s training and development plans support the individuals requirements and the team’s by ensuring there are no single points of failure and there is adequate cover at all times for their activities

Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
Experience you’d be expected to have
ITIL foundation as a minimum
Strong experience of technically supporting a 24/7 live operations in a managed services arena
In depth knowledge of managed customer solutions across all the data networking technology towers utilising a host of 3rd parties and suppliers
In depth understanding of data network technologies (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper etc) technologies / emerging technologies across the full IT spectrum.
