Job overview and responsibilities
The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for developing and maintaining interactive content that is embedded within technical documentation to enhance comprehension and communication within Network Operations. Multimedia Designer duties include, but are not limited to the design, development, documentation, configuration management, project management, and production of graphics, audio, and video used in Network Ops technical documentation. Multimedia Designers may specialize in audio, visual, or graphic design, but may be assigned to perform other technical documentation duties within the classification if properly trained. Multimedia Designers also participate in the research and evaluation of new technology used in technical content delivery as requested. The Multimedia Designer is also responsible for working with subject matter experts within the Network Operations as well as other company divisions. The multimedia content developed must adhere to all compliance with regulatory requirements.
Create and maintain computer based multimedia, such as (but not limited to) video, audio or graphics, for use as embedded content within structured XML-based technical documentation system and other internal communications.
Produce and maintain multimedia scripts based on reasearch, communication, documentation, and understanding of the technical material.
Author technical documentation in the structured content management system or other designated format and maintains documentation in accordance to all records retention policies and United standards.
Performs audits of Network Operations multimedia to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and United policies. Coordinate with other operating divisions to ensure policy and procedure congruence.
Assist in the development and testing of new multimedia software and processes used for technical documentation.
Maintain archives of approvals and published multimedia revisions.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience with instructional design, educational technology or related field;
Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology with adult learning;
Experience with the full range of web-based application testing, including: regression testing, and functional testing
Web Development experience specifically for eLearning delivery
Experience in testing web based applications using various platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux and browsers including IE, Netscape, Firefox and Mozilla
Demonstrates knowledge of the learning design cycle (ADDIE or SAM)
Possess Instructional System Design experience and design and apprpriate ISD model for Network Operations
Strong working knowledge of eLearning development tools preferred(i.e. Articulate Storyline II, Camtasia, Audacity, and ProTools etc.) and at least one Learning Management System;
Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skill in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and training program evaluation and administration
Leadership Development curriculum design and development
Knowledge of Best Practices in leadership learning and development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power Point
