As a Project Manager (f/m/d) for BESS Digital Solutions, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation and efficiency in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) through digital solutions. Your role will involve working with a diverse, multicultural team to develop and implement cutting-edge digital solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of BESS for our global customers. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing the energy transition and maintaining Siemens Energy’s competitive edge in the marketplace.

Your new role – challenging and future- oriented:

• Business Case Preparation: Preparing a business case, defining the scope of the project, selecting the appropriate methodology, and developing a project plan accordingly. Ensuring that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, cost, and scheduling targets.

• Task Coordination: Coordinating and prioritizing project tasks, managing timelines, maintaining project plans, and communicating status to key stakeholders. Defining, jointly with key stakeholders, all project documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.

• Customer and IS Collaboration: Collaborating with our customers and IS departments, providing support such as User Experience, Adoption, Communication, or Security.

• Project Close Down: Ensuring successful close down of the project, capturing and documenting lessons learned, and reporting project performance against plan and expected business outcomes.

• Success Factors: Ensuring business value realization through successful project delivery and implementation and achieving stakeholder satisfaction with the project outcomes.

• Stakeholder Management: Serving as the key contact for project stakeholders and an escalation point for project issues. Effectively communicating appropriate information to stakeholders promptly to achieve desired understanding and support.

• Standards and Compliance: Ensuring projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard internal directives and procedures. Ensuring appropriate IS Project Management standards and methods are followed.

• Leadership: Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

• Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Management, Computer Systems, Business Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Project Management Experience: Mid/Long-term (5-7 years) project management experience in IT/Digital solutions research and development projects, with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and in a dynamic environment.

• Domain Expertise: Experience in BESS, Renewable Energy, or Solutions Engineering project management is desirable. Expertise in technical know-how and experience working in teams deploying cloud/Edge solutions is an added advantage.

• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and familiarity with SCRUM Methodology are nice to have. ITIL 4 foundation certification is a must.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to work effectively as a project team leader.

• Relevant Experience: Previous work experience in the area of Battery Storage solutions and/or Transmission System Solutions is ideal. Experience in a global environment and the digital workplace area is a plus.

• Language Skills: Fluent English skills are required; German is a plus.

• Agile Mindset: Willingness to work in an agile development environment, with a structured way of working, initiative, creativity, motivation, and a high-quality orientation rounding off your profile.

• IS Project Management Toolbox: Proven experience with IS Project Methodology, IS Project Governance Model, and Agile Project Management. Record of successful delivery of products with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodology, optimally within a global corporation environment.
