Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting server performance. Troubleshooting system and server errors. Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors. Analyzes, logs, tracks, and resolves software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, servers, and applications to meet business needs

  • Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommends course of action and implements as approved

  • Patch management, installations of security patches, functional patches, and version upgrades to server and vSphere / ESXi environment

  • Creation and Managing DNZ Zones (Stub / Conditional forwarder) in internal DNS servers.

  • Management of AD site cost / links / Subnets

  • VMs including installation, upgrades

  • Should be able to Manage and troubleshoot the site replication issues in forest/domain.

  • Technical support of various VMware technologies (ESXi 6.x, vCenter, vSAN, DRS, HA, PowerCLI, DV Switches etc.)

  • VM Servers build & rebuild (Deploying the New VM from the Template and Cloning an Existing VM as per the client request through change management process)

  • Managing and troubleshooting VM’s issue

  • Understanding of Ticketing Systems, Workflow and Change control process

  • Installation and troubleshooting of any OS related software and security tools like Carbon Black, Nexpose Rapid7

  • Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements

  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Provides IT and end user training where required

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Eligibility

  • Minimum 12 months in the current role or required exception approvals=

  • Your current Role should be SG26 or SG27

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with the following:

  • 6+ years of documented experience with Windows server, Exchange, AD, SolarWinds and group policy management

  • 5+ years of designing, deploying, and maintaining server apps and desktops environments

  • 4+ years of designing, deploying, and maintaining a multi-host environment

  • Understanding of 3-tiered application and platform architecture and related troubleshooting

  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Print Server and Group Policy

  • Work experience in high availability and clustered environment configuration

  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting of DNS / DHCP / DFS issues

  • Experience on Server builds and decommission, Commission / Decommission of Domain Controllers. VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring

  • Hands on experience in performance tuning of ESXi host. Implement Hardening on ESXi host. Experience in P2V, VMotion, and VMware virtual center

  • Experience on Commission / Decommission of ESXi Host hosted on various hardware like Dell, HP, IBM

  • Experience on configuration of HA and DRS features in a cluster and troubleshooting

  • Experience in configuring iSCSI storage and troubleshooting

  • Experience on P2V and V2V migrations

  • Working knowledge on Microsoft server platforms 2019, 2016, 2012R2, 2012, 2008 R2

  • Proficient in controlling administrator rights on VM Infrastructure, Use of VMware Converter Enterprise, and overview

  • Technical knowledge in vCenter and ESXi, Site recovery Manager 8.x, vROPS 8.X, vSAN, vRealize Log insight 8.x, VMware vSphere 7.x

  • Good understanding of certificate management in VMware infrastructure
