Skills required for the job

Skilled in Business analysis Tools, techniques and methodologies such as.

  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills: Ability to analyse and frame a problem area, with support from SMEs identify opportunities for backlog management

  • Tell stories with data – ability to compile, analyse and use data to provide evidence based insights and data driven recommendations

  • Requirements management - Experienced at modelling and managing Business requirements to achieve business outcomes

  • Awareness of Human-centred design practices - Ensuring requirements address a Customer First approach.

  • Process design / mapping - Ability to capture and model ASIS processes to facilitate 2b design discussions and outcomes

  • Testing, Trial & Validation techniques working with Cross functional leads to validate their requirements, i.e through reviews, walkthroughs and User Acceptance testing.

  • Excellent communication & factiliation skills – ability to collaborate within a agile development team and interact directly with stakeholders / SMEs across varied mediums to express thinking clearly.

  • Strategic thinker who is able to see the big picture.

  • Self-motivated and proactive with good attention to detail

Experience you would be expected to have

Must Have…

  • 2+ Years Business analysis experience in either internal transformation teams and/or in technology organisations

  • 2+ Years Experience of working in the agile environment / squad with experience in Agile Story Management

Advantage to have:

  • Related B.Tech/MCA/MSc degree in Business Management, Business Studies

  • BCS Business Analysis Certification

  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)

  • Business improvement methodologies i.e Continuous Improvement, Lean, Design for Six Sigma etc

  • Experience or involvement in service design / user research activities

  • Familiar with: BPMN 2.0 (Business Process modelling and Notation)

  • Attitude to adapt to new technologies is desirable. Business experience in either internal transformation teams and/or in technology organisations

What I’ll be doing – your accountabilities

  • Accountable for defining the business requirements from the Proposition and Capability Owners relating to Product launch development. This will include

  • Capture user and business requirements; elicit, analyse, document requirements to underpin the end to end service design. Articulate requirements from the perspective of Customer and Operational personas.. enabling customer and user centric designs

  • Document and maintain requirement artefacts to the appropriate BT standards. Employing Agile methodologies ensure all requirements have clear Acceptane Statements.

  • Assure quality measures and targets for the end-user experience. Ensure Features and stories have an aligned 'Value' to facilitate priority backlog management and planning.

  • Support the readiness of our operational colleagues - work with test and implementation teams to ensure that business requirements are continutally taken into account and support the definition of the test approach for a given feature

  • Identify improvement opportunities -document ASIS and end user pain points for improvement. Use data insights to inform recommendations that highight measurable value / impact of change feeding opportunities into the agreed delivery backlog.

  • Cross teams collaboration and & stakeholder management – Support Proposition / Product owners and Scrum leads to prioritise backlogs. Challenge and influence priorities. Contribute to service blueprints, wireframes, journey maps, process maps / flows

  • Promote best practices - across the team and contributes to Tribe / Team delivery improvement activities. Share agile best practices and participate in squad cadences.
