The Associate Analytics Business Manager is part of Optum’s Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE). The ACOE delivers high-quality, data-driven decision-making through a scalable and innovative model, enhancing access to analytics talent, best practices, standard processes, and technology. This model supports the strategic objectives of both external health systems and internal operations.

The Associate Business Manager collaborates with Business Operations to implement new processes and fulfill commitments to partners and the organization. This support role focuses on communication, process improvement, and program management. You will work with Analytics Business Managers to support partner leadership, key stakeholders, and the Nashville-based ACOE analytics and technology team. Collaboration with team members and ACOE colleagues is essential. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and possesses solid communication skills.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Healthcare-related experience

  • Project/Program Management experience in operational analytics

  • Hands-on experience with Project Management

  • Solid organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven self-motivated; able to manage several projects at once

  • Proficient in Excel for data analysis and insight generation

  • Proven exceptional writing and PowerPoint skills

  • Solid competence in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health system or provider experience

  • Experience working within matrixed and interdisciplinary teams

  • Experience designing and documenting business processes

  • Experience creating client-facing reports and summaries in PowerPoint (or similar)

  • Experience working as part of a Program Management Office (EPMO) and/or Analytics team

  • Experience with Aha!, Confluence, MS Copilot
