The Role : Systems Engineer - Windows

The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures

Our services are vital to automated trade processing around the globe, managing peak volumes and working with our customers and regulators to ensure the efficient settlement of trades and effective operation of global capital markets

You will have 10-12 years’ experience of Systems Engineering to meet the needs of our expanding portfolio of Financial Services clients. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team based out of Gurgaon and to work with colleagues across multiple regions globally.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our other Application- & Network-Infrastructure teams on issues by evaluating the problem, proposing and implementing resolutions, and partnering with other parts of technology as needed for the resolution.

• Develop and improve Windows server platform with new technologies and adjusting to current best practices.

• Solve problems creatively and communicate effectively.

• Deploy in-house and 3rd party applications with a keen focus on automation and hardening.

• Identify and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with our Information Security team to provide secure solutions.

• Operate as an outstanding team player, work well with others, and possess a positive attitude.

• Ability to provide effective and timely solutions in a very fast-paced environment where multitasking and attention to detail is critical.

• Self-motivated and work well under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• A strong desire to develop skills and continuously improve.

• Capable of managing time well and work efficiently without close supervision in a very dynamic environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows server operating systems, Exchange & AD.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Good at application troubleshooting.

• Good understanding of virtualized environments.

• Experience working with public cloud.

• Experience working in hybrid environments and moving workloads across different platforms.

• Experience using PowerShell.

• Automation scripting skills.

• Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Experience troubleshooting network issues and diagnose connectivity issues.

• Understanding of concepts like VLAN, routing and DNS.

• Configuration management and change management experience.

• Worked with enterprise storage solutions DAS/NAS/SAN.

• Troubleshooting mail flow issues.
