The role
Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist in his role assists SoftwareOne’s customers in providing price quotes from publishers and updating them in ERP System as per standards within SLA. Acting as a bridge between SoftwareOne’s subsidiaries and various publishers and suppliers, the team handles a wide range of tasks that drive business growth with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
Responsibilities include managing customer data, handling price inquiries & overseeing renewals along with publisher expertise of basic level. This role significantly enhances customer relationships and optimizes operational efficiency throughout these activities.
The Procurement Specialist will work in a team which is involved in a wide variety of tasks that will help grow the business and focus on efficiency, accuracy and speed of processing. The focus is global, with direct reporting to the Procurement Operations Team Leader at SW&C Marketplace Delivery and close collaboration with the Regional Delivery Leaders. The Procurement Operations team is one of the fastest growing units in SoftwareOne’s SW&C Marketplace Delivery and currently looking for motivated and experienced employees to take the next step in its development as operational backbone for SoftwareOne’s strategy and vision towards Software Portfolio Management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for organizing quotes from publishers and suppliers.
Maintains basic level knowledge of service and solution offerings specific to publisher and is a customer facing resource for sales activities alongside SoftwareOne resources.
Researches and gathers all necessary information to complete tasks.
Communicates promptly and effectively via emails, reports, and reminders.
Achieves organizational goals by embracing new and diverse requests and identifying opportunities to enhance job performance.
Supports requests from customers, partners, sales representatives, and other operations team members.
Collaborates with internal and external partners to achieve procurement objectives.
Establishes and maintains relationships with publishers and distributors.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on publisher’s Products and Licensing for internal contacts and customers
Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Manages multiple tasks simultaneously, completing work within allocated time frames as an individual contributor.
What we need to see from you
A career break of at least 6months and a strong desire to reintegrate into the workforce.
Good problem-solving, consultative, and research skills.
Customer-oriented mindset
Strong multitasking, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with a team.
Basic software licensing knowledge of Tier 1/ 2 publishers (is added advantage)
Additional Language knowledge (is added advantage)
What We Need to See from You
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business Administration, supply chain (preferred)
Excellent communication skills written & verbal.
3-7 year’s/prior experience in software procurement and customer-facing roles
Proficiency/knowledge of MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat
Knack for attention to detail
