Market Lean Value Stream Lead

'Value Chain Business Partner is responsible to support Businesses within South asia Region through driving the following activities across the value chain;

1- Lead Business transformation projects (IBOs*) to meet our consumer evolving needs and expectations that includes;

-comprehensive data analysis

-portfolio optimization

-internal and external benchmarking

-market, consumer, shopper, portfolio and brand related analysis to identify grow the head/value up opportunities

-value chain analysis to identify cost saving opportunities

2- Ensure effective project management, consistent communication to drive change management and engage stakeholders to generate engagement and commitment

3- Foster the culture of Continuous Improvement within the organization, through data analysis, diagnosis and building solutions together with cross functional teams

Step 1 - Define the scope and objectives of the project

-Alignment with BEO and all stakeholders on scope and objectives (Creation of Project charter)

-Kick off meeting with the team to align on objectives, deliverables and timelines

Step 2 - Define Customer and consumer value drivers

-Identify our consumer, customer and shopper value drivers

-Define where our product is better, parity or worse vs our competitor's product

-Connect the value drivers into KPIs and business objectives across the value chain

Step 3 - Analyze Value Chain (Run in Paralell with Step 2)

  • Reviwing Data, Measures/KPI's for E2E value chain, Analyze the same along with Value chain partners & Finance

  • Value Chain streams covered are:

  • Operations teams : Manufacturing, Product & packaging development, D&SP, Logistics, Procurement

  • Other teams: Finance, Sales, Marketing

  • Understand the business context to arrive on right opportunities:

• What is the business issue we want to solve?

• What is the specific market context we are playing in?

• Who are we competing with?

• What is our current portfolio and performance?

  • Operations across the value chain to meet our consumer evolving needs and expectations through benchmarking and data

  • Analyze the Brand, Product, Portfolio, PPA, Distribution & activation,

-Identify opportunities for bottom line and top-line growth

-Leverage internal and external benchmarking where possible

-Ensure the full alignment and agreement of the cross functional teams which need to be involved for the analysis and improvements

Step 4 - Identify and Prioritize Opportunities

-Evaluate size of the prize, effort required, sustainability impact, financial and operational viability

-Prioritize opportunities and create plans for the implementation (Creation of Project charter)

Step 5 - Manage Execution through Governance

  • Set up the appropriate governance and work with business teams & respective Value Chain leads to ensure the implementation of the identified improvement activities

-Review the progress and achievements periodically
