Business Unit Overview:

The International Cash Management Group manages a suite of products that includes Prime and Government Money Market and Ultra-Short Duration Mutual funds and Separate Accounts. BlackRock’s cash management style is designed to meet each client’s objectives of capital preservation, liquidity and yield – in that order. This philosophy is built on a risk-controlled framework, featuring careful analysis of credit, interest rate trends, and relative value opportunities which ultimately produce investment returns on a risk adjusted basis. Our disciplined approach to investing originated in 1973 when we pioneered the first constant-dollar money market fund dedicated to institutional investors.

Job Purpose/Background/Responsibilities:

The International Cash Management Group is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to support the Sales and Platform teams to shape the function, and design and implement best practice processes and procedures for the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical, operational and solutioning support to the client and product lifecycle in this this growing, fast-paced business. The role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to execute across multiple facets of the business, supporting a positive client experience and improving controls & efficiencies.

The role will bring the individual into regular contact with senior stakeholders across the business and being comfortable in these circles, while providing subject matter detail, is crucial. Close interaction with all business functions (Sales, Product, Marketing and Portfolio Management) will be expected, as well as with clients and other key businesses within BlackRock.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Sales support:

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

  • Support the broad sales function (for example account opening incl AML/KYC client query management, client reporting, record keeping and ongoing regulatory obligations) across Corporates, Non-Bank Financials and Bank sectors.

  • Escalate and resolve areas of concern as raised by clients.

  • Maintain CRM systems, sales pipeline and ensure best practice record management across the sales function.

  • Support the sales team with development of sector / geographical strategy decks.

  • Manage financial reporting for particular regions for more granular business reporting

  • Create and deliver standardised fund reporting both internally and external.

  • Maintain and develop best in class reporting capabilities for our Separate Account Clients whilst adapting to client, market, and regulatory changes

  • Support technology integrations for clients – Cachematrix onboardings, creation of automated reporting and FTP connections, first line of response for client queries, engaging internal Product teams for more complex solutioning.

  • Platform support:

  • Maintain product and platform oversight to ensure business stability and support growth.

  • Support Cash Leadership in providing operational, analytical and platform management support to this growing, fast-paced business.

  • Support product lifecycle events.

  • Contribute to integration of key technology, operational and strategic initiatives across the global business

  • Support sales enablement through answering product and platform queries, reporting, coordinating and crafting responses to RFI/ RFPs/ DDQs, AML/ KYC oversight, record keeping and reporting obligations etc.

  • Drive a robust investments platform through end-to-end excellence in tech and processing. Partner with the portfolio management desk to expand balance sheet through new instruments and counterparties.

  • Support and execute process improvement initiatives across Global Cash to improve controls, mitigate risks, manage costs and increase efficiencies.

  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Product Strategists regarding fund and customized opportunities to determine appropriate solutions.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Transfer Agency, Tech & Ops, Legal & Compliance.

Knowledge / Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of financial markets and understanding of the money market fund industry

  • 1-3 years' of industry experience in similar domain

  • Bachelors degree

  • Research, quantitative or analytical skills

  • Presentation and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills to help foster an inclusive culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a complex environment.

  • High level of self-motivation, with a strong integrity & ethics.

  • Fluent in English

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required, VBA, python beneficial
