The Global Securities Lending business handles approximately $400 billion in loans and provides superior performance through innovative technology, sophisticated quantitative techniques, and product innovation. Data is at the heart of Securities Lending and the mission of the Innovation, Data and Analytics (IDA) team is to enable the next generation of data-driven decision making across Securities Lending by leading the re-architecture and development of our research and data platform, expanding collaboration on key adjacencies across the firm, and driving innovation at scale across our business.
We are seeking a dynamic Analyst who seeks complex problems to join the Securities Lending Data Engineering team within IDA in Gurgaon .
The team’s primary responsibilities are to ensure the operation of our data platform, availability and freshness of data, extending the scope with new subject areas, and supervising and improving the accessibility of data. The primary job responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing a sophisticated data platform that delivers reliable and outstanding data to a diverse range of users, including traders, client teams, and quant researchers
Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary squad involving program and product managers, data strategists, and trading and client professionals to expand the product offering based on business impact and demand
Understanding, securing, improving existing and building new ETL & ELT data pipelines
Gaining hands-on experience in building an ETL framework of next-generation technologies and solutions
Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and latest developments in data engineering, and incorporating them into our technical roadmaps
Managingbusiness expectations, communicating technical concepts effectively, and aligning data engineering initiatives with business objectives
Required Experience:
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, other STEM degree or relatedfield
2+years of related work experience, preferably as a data engineer within financial services
Strong skills in SQL and Sybase
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with dev ops tools like Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT framework design, and workflow orchestrations
Experience in data analysis, including profiling, validation, trend identification, and optimization techniques
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with an ability to craft solutions and implement change
Meticulous attention to detail and analytical approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, time management, organization, and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Snowflake, SnowPipe, Snowpark, and ETL tools like Pentaho Data Integration or DBT
Knowledge of workflow management tools such as Airflow
Familiarity with Aladdin, Linux, Business Objects, and Unix
