Summary

As a Senior Specialist in IT Enterprise PDM Solutions, you'll join our PDM Center of Excellence (CoE) team and play a key role in developing and supporting Celestica's Product Data Management solutions.

This role focuses on promoting and implementing best practices for Product Data Management (PDM), specifically with Dassault Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE. You'll collaborate with various teams within the Enterprise PDM Solutions Center of Excellence (CoE) and other IT Platform CoEs, guiding them in effectively adopting and utilizing the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to business users, helping them overcome challenges and optimize their use of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You'll leverage ITIL best practices and your deep platform expertise to:

• Enable Business : Analyze business needs, design, develop & deploy functionalities that achieve desired outcomes.

• Resolve issues : Provide timely and effective solutions to problems encountered by business users.

• Identify problem areas : Analyze recurring incidents and identify trends to proactively address underlying issues.

• Perform root cause analysis : Investigate incidents to determine their root causes and prevent them from happening again.

• Develop proactive solutions : Implement measures to improve platform stability, usability, and user satisfaction.

As a successful candidate, you'll take ownership of understanding business requirements and translating them into effective solutions. This involves collaborating with stakeholders across different teams, including application CoEs and IT vendors, to ensure alignment with business objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on experience with the Dassault Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including development, configuration, and management. Experience with PDM system upgrades, architecture, DevOps practices, and CAD data management is also essential. Familiarity with other PDM systems such as Aras PLM & windchill is a plus.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Platform Management & Improvement: Collaborate with platform leads to ensure service availability, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous optimization. Support the implementation of new platform initiatives.

• Business Process Consulting : Partner with business teams to analyze their needs and translate them into efficient processes within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This includes utilizing various modules like P&O, Engineering BOMs, Manufacturing BOMs, Change Management, and more, while considering integrations with other systems like SAP and IPEC.

• Solution Design: Lead and participate in workshops to gather user requirements, understand integration needs, and design architectural solutions that meet business objectives.

• Release Management: Work with platform management and support teams to review and deploy changes, ensuring adherence to platform architecture, development methods, and best practices.

• Support & Troubleshooting: Assist the support team in resolving technical, functional, and performance issues, providing timely solutions to business challenges.

• Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to team members, subject matter experts, and end-users on platform best practices and functionality.

• Data Migration : Collaborate with a technical team (developers, architects, and SAP experts) to migrate, transform and maintain data on the PDM platform.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE Expertise: Deep understanding of Enovia versions 2015+ (including 2017/2018 and 2019), with proven ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement technical specifications (reports, interfaces, data conversions, etc.).

• Platform Administration: Hands-on experience with 3DEXPERIENCE platform administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and maintenance.

• Business Process Design: Expertise in defining and optimizing PLM business processes within the 3DEXPERIENCE ecosystem, including conducting fit-gap analyses and working with modules like P&O, Engineering BOMs, Manufacturing BOMs, Change Management, etc.

• Troubleshooting & Development: Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues (code, data model, schema) on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Strong programming and scripting skills in Java, JSP, TCL, MQL, SQL, JavaScript, JPO, and Enovia UI components.

• Database Knowledge: Good understanding of 3DEXPERIENCE database schema design and data analysis.

• Documentation: Ability to create professional documentation, including presentations, requirement specifications, functional design documents, and process flow diagrams.

• Data Migration : Expertise in migrating data from and to PDM systems using the ETL framework.

• PDM Domain Experience : Deep expertise in Dassault Enovia 3DEXPERIENCE is essential. Familiarity with other PDM systems like Aras PLM or Windchill is a plus.

Specific Experience Requirements:

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience designing and developing applications in Dassault Enovia PLM at an enterprise level, using customizations and configurations.

• 3-4 years of experience with 3DEXPERIENCE platform (2017x and up), specifically in Enovia application configuration and schema design.

• Experience leading or playing a key role in at least 2-3 full-scale Enovia/3DEXPERIENCE implementations, 2-3 Data migration implementations encompassing all phases from requirements gathering to go-live and post-implementation support.

• Solid understanding of system-level interactions between components like client endpoints, network infrastructure, SSO, databases, web servers, application servers, and middleware, with a focus on end-to-end performance.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

Experience & Technical Skills :

• Proven Implementation Experience : A track record of successfully deploying Enovia/3DEXPERIENCE in at least 2-3 full lifecycle projects (including development, deployment, support), data migration in PDM. Familiarity with other PDM systems like Aras PLM or Windchill is a plus.

• 3DEXPERIENCE Certification: Certification in Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE is preferred.

• Software Development Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) and experience implementing 3DEXPERIENCE APIs in enterprise environments.

• J2EE and Web Technologies: Strong understanding of J2EE web technologies, including deployment and administration within Tomcat application servers and load balancing environments.

• DevOps Practices: Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, preferably using Jira, Git, and Jenkins, is highly desirable.
