Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join a growing manufacturing company. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This position requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification and expertise in manufacturing industry financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and consolidate financial statements according to GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor variances and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Cost Management: Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.

  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets.

  • Audit Management: Coordinate and manage annual audits, liaising with external auditors to provide necessary information and resolve any audit queries.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions. Optimize cash flow through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns and manage tax planning strategies.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide strategic insights to support business decisions and profitability improvements.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance and accounting teams. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA certification required.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial modeling, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
