Insight Global Data Governance Specialist in Guelph, Ontario

Job Description

The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive data literacy program aimed at enhancing data understanding and usage across the organization. This role involves identifying and addressing knowledge gaps to ensure all employees are equipped with the necessary skills to effectively interpret and utilize data in their daily tasks. Please note that this role is required to be onsite 1x/week in the Guelph area.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Literacy Program Development:

Design a tailored data literacy curriculum, addressing

foundational to advanced topics.

Align program content with governance objectives

and enterprise goals.

Stakeholder Training and Engagement:

Develops workshops, webinars, and self-paced

training to build governance understanding.

Directs data stewards, engineers, and business units to

resources targeted at their needs.

Content and Resource Creation:

Maintain an accessible, up-to-date repository of

governance training materials on THE SOURCE.

Develop guides, FAQs, glossaries, and e-learning

modules to support learning continuity.

Advocacy and Cultural Shift:

Promote data-driven decision-making as a

core organizational value.

Foster alignment between business units

through governance advocacy.

Measurement and Feedback:

Establish KPIs for literacy programs, such as

engagement rates and knowledge

assessments.

Continuously refine programs based on

participant feedback

Skills and Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Tech Marketing, Communications, Change Management, or similar

  • Affinity for technology and data or governance

    • Bilingual French null
