WorldNet Telecommunications SIM Technician Level 1 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Other duties may be assigned. Responsible of visiting customers for installation of internal wiring CAT 3, CAT5e or CAT 6 and all WorldNet CPE’s assigned by the SIM Coordinator.Responsible for the physical Installation of CPE’s to provide different types and levels of service on customer premises.Install circuits or lines to be installed from demarcation point to customer premises.Install and configure voice services such as, POTS lines, hosted PBX, sip lines, PRI, sip trunk, DID, etc. Process LNP (port in of lines). Install and configure internet and data services, such as PPOE, internet dedicated circuits, point to point services, interconnect services thru a data network, etc.Install and configure all CPE related to voice, data and internet services, such as switches, routers, batteries, IP phones, ATA, IAD, etc.Complete site surveys, to ID lines inventory, wiring, evaluate the communication room, location facilities, server rooms and telecommunication chambers, etc.Complete the physical installation require by the end Customer, such as wiring, installation of Racks, installation of trays, etc. Configure and integrate Manage services, including cyber security services, firewalls, Access Point, WiFi manage services, LAN manage services, etc. Comply with Installations Process and Standards, including the Customer sign off of the Job acceptance form, photos of installed equipment, labelling WNT equipment, testing process, etc.Complete repairs of voice and data services during warranty period, or as requested.Performs all other duties as required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This Job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate degree in Telecommunications, Telephony or Electronic Technology (preferred) with a minimum of two years of related experience; or significant equivalent experience and training, related to the position.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS •Ability on Advanced VoIP and Telecommunications knowledge.•Ability handling Basic TCP / IP knowledge.•Ability Structured Cabling Experience and certifications.•Ability to communicate effectively.•Ability on the use and functioning of tools used in telecommunications and networking.•Ability on PBX Fundamentals.•Ability on PBX Installations, Configuration and Maintenance.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to travel all areas of Puerto Rico. The employee must frequently lift and/or move ladders and up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel all areas of Puerto Rico.
