About the Role

Are you a proactive and energetic engineer with a passion for predictive maintenance and continuous improvement? Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Guatemala. This role offers significant autonomy to lead maintenance plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives within our plant.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure plant reliability, implementing the necessary functions for the proper functioning of plant equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Predictive & Preventive Maintenance:

• Design, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for equipment, facilities, and Focus Factory buildings.

• Verify compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for plant equipment.

• Maintain and update the preventive and predictive maintenance program in SAP for all installed equipment, based on the Predictive Maintenance optimization model.

• Ensure the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance orders and maintenance notifications according to the plan.

Project Validation:

• Comply with the validation program for projects and equipment to ensure optimal performance in the plant.

Talent Management:

• Develop and manage talent acquisition, training, and people movements within the maintenance team.

• Implement effective communication strategies for the area.

Procedures & Compliance:

• Develop and ensure the correct implementation and communication of maintenance procedures, SWIS, IET, or Standard Operational Procedures.

• Manage the maintenance and spare parts budget, ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Continuous Improvement:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.

• Experience in managing people.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Google Tools.

• Knowledge of SAP, particularly in maintenance modules.

• Advanced English proficiency.

• High level of energy and execution.

• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and organizational skills.
