Nike Senior Accountant, LATAM Revenue Mexico in Guadalajara, Mexico

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Senior Accountant LATAM Revenue to join our team in Mexico Controlling.

This role requires leading both internal Nike and external teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with international and local accounting standards, passion for accounting ensuring the timely and accurate statutory postings, being enthusiastic and proactive to do greater efficiencies in reports and deliverables for our stakeholders.

The position requires a Bachelor´s degree in Finance, Accounting, business, or related field.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As Senior Accountant LATAM Revenue, you’ll enhance accounting processes, General Ledger activities, Management reports, SOX controls documentation and communications between the teams, ensuring the timely and correct accounting postings for the LATAM financial statements.

Knowing that we win as a team, you’ll also assist in day-to-day operations of Nike Controlling areas liaising with customers/distributors, Nike stakeholders, FP&A and auditors to ensure the timely communication and effectiveness.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You’ll be working within LATAM Controlling team, FP&A, Finance operations, operations, customers, global controlling team and peers in other territories; the position reports to the Revenue Manager. The position requires availability to travel.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • The ideal candidate should have business experience in controlling areas, knowledge of the basic US GAAP and Mex GAAP, Financial reporting, and analysis, ensuring month and year end closing processes.

  • In depth understanding of General Ledger activities and accounting operations Management

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and financial oversight

  • Exhibit the leadership skills needed to obtain management support for constructive change.

  • Demonstrated experience with project and/or transition management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management.

  • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other team members.

  • Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members.
