The Cigna Group Sr. Manager, Quality Regulatory Assurance- CurasCript- Hybrid in Grove City, Ohio
The Sr. Manager of Operating Effectiveness will oversee the activity of the quality regulatory assurance (QRA) department and staff, developing, implementing robust regulatory & quality procedures. This role will help direct monitoring of state and federal regulation, preparing compliance positions with respect to product impact, pricing impact, development of policy forms, and guidelines for Underwriting and Sales. Helps oversee the development and filing of contract language and policy forms to support compliance and quality activities, new product development, state health care reporting and changes to existing products. Provides direction and guidance to staff relative to the implementation, monitoring, investigation, evaluation and reporting quality & compliance policies, audits programs, continuous improvements and issues. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge but is guided by functional practices and well defined management precedents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure CSD meets state and federal regulations
Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards, parameters, and metrics
Conduct internal audits and QRA procedures
Review and approve all updates on Distribution procedures
Communicates quality standards and parameters to QRA team and other appropriate staff.
Coordinates and participates in product testing processes as well as CSD audits.
Maintain quality assurance for the distribution sites, support manufacturing audits, quality agreements, RGA front & backend processing.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Direct the team toward continued process improvement activities to drive efficiencies across CSD.
Determine resource alignment across the COE teams and capabilities.
Manage the career and leadership development of teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, high school diploma or GED required
6+ years of relevant work experience, 2-3 years of leadership experience preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance department role experience preferred
SAP warehouse system experience preferred
Highly self-directed and focused on achieving goals
Proficient in identifying potential exceptions (Regulatory compliance, Product Quality and Patient Safety)
Proven experience mentoring and coaching others, either cross-functionally or directly
Experience working cross-functionally and promoting collaborative partnerships to drive results
Proven ability to communicate effectively to various audiences/levels
Strong willingness to collaborate with others on team to identify and solve problems
Complex problem solving capability and experience
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Power Point and Word
