Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicatedShop Assistantto support our team of mechanics and ensure smooth operations in our shop. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical experience, a clean driving record, and a valid CDL Class A license. This role involves assisting mechanics, running errands, transporting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in the shop.
Main Responsibilities
Assist mechanics with various tasks throughout the shop, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
Conduct part runs to suppliers or distributors as needed.
Transport equipment and tools to different job sites, particularly during the peak summer season.
Ensure the shop is clean and organized, including work areas, tools, and equipment.
Help staff with miscellaneous tasks to support shop operations.
Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Basic mechanical experience or knowledge preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Flexibility to travel to different construction crews as needed.
