Position Summary The Senior Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs, Nephrology is a senior strategic leadership role that requires prior Medical Director-level experience in nephrology within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. This individual will own and drive key Medical Affairs initiatives, providing strategic and tactical leadership for Travere's nephrology programs while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and overall nephrology strategy. As a senior leader within the Nephrology Therapeutic Area, the successful candidate must bring substantial prior experience as a Medical Director, deep knowledge of nephrology, the clinical landscape, and healthcare delivery, and the ability to integrate these insights to shape Travere's Medical Affairs efforts. The ideal candidate will own strategic initiatives, lead cross-functional scientific programs, drive evidence generation, and foster external expert relationships, ensuring the success of Travere's nephrology portfolio. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership and Launch Execution The Medical Director will drive, develop, and execute medical strategies, including leading the strategic planning and execution of the launch for FSGS. Ensure alignment with corporate goals and optimize pre-launch and post-launch activities to drive sustained market impact. 2. Scientific Engagement and Communication Lead interactions with external experts, including advisory boards and scientific meetings, while providing direction on scientific communication to ensure consistent messaging and a robust communication strategy. 3. Evidence Generation Oversee evidence-generation strategies by identifying data gaps, prioritizing needs, and guiding study designs (e.g., clinical studies, HEOR/RWE analyses). Manage the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process and chair relevant committees to ensure impactful and compliant scientific activities. 4. Content and Field Medical Support Ensure consistent scientific messaging across all materials, while collaborating with field medical teams to execute external expert interactions, evidence-generation activities, and training programs aligned with emerging evidence and medical strategies. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration and Compliance Partner with Commercial, Market Access, and Clinical Development teams to provide medical insights, ensuring cohesive cross-functional initiatives. Represent Medical Affairs in review committees to maintain regulatory compliance and strategic alignment. Education and Experience Requirements: * Advanced Degree: An MD, MD/PhD, or PharmD/PhD is required, with a strong preference for a focus in nephrology. * Nephrology Expertise: A minimum of 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience, w
